Crime Alert - Burglary

Dear Resident,

Humberside Police are investigating a report of a burglary on : Mill Beck Lane, Cottingham.

The incident occurred at 18.50hrs on 08/07/26 . It is believed the offender has reached through an open window and stolen a mobile phone.

Warm Weather Security Reminder :

With the warmer weather upon us, many of us enjoy keeping our homes cool by opening our doors and windows. However, please be mindful that open doors and windows can provide opportunities for intruders.

Always lock windows and doors when leaving the property.

Avoid leaving ground floor windows open overnight or when you are out.

Secure any accessible windows using any available restrictors.

Keep valuable items out of sight.

Report any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood to the police.

These simple precautions can protect your home. Stay safe and enjoy the warm weather responsibly.

To assist us in identifying stolen property please consider property marking high value items using Forensic Marking or UV pens. You are also advised to register property at www.immobilise.com which is a free on-line property register used by police forces nationwide to reunite stolen goods to their owners. All you have to do is register on-line and then upload properties electrical items serial numbers.

If you have a burglar alarm ensure it is set and working.
